In the heart of busy, touristy Florence lies this great little restaurant, Trattoria Alfredo. The manager is from Calabria — and you can feel it in the warm hospitality. The pasta was perfect, the antipasti delicious, and the house wine very enjoyable. And the panna cotta was absolutely amazing! A real gem among all the touristy places.

The food was delicious, we got the risotto and truffle pasta both were made well. I think they put us in the back of the restaurant and forgot we were there! The service was a bit slow and they kept forgetting things…

Our last night in Florence and visited Trattoria Alfredo and I must say, the food was so delicious. We started with the Caprese and it was soo soo good. Everything was flavorful and the vibe was chill. Great little spot.

I had an excellent experience at Alfredo’s. I started with the tagliatelle bolognese, which was rich and perfectly balanced, followed by a classic Florentine steak that was cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, and truly the highlight of the meal. Service was quick and attentive, and the atmosphere felt calm and happy, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. For dessert, I tried the famous tiramisù (which fully lived up to its reputation), along with a crème brûlée and a white cake filled with raspberries and topped with chocolate! Each one delicious in its own way. Overall, Alfredo’s delivers an authentic and memorable dining experience in Florence, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
